Pete and Mari test out the new Wide Boyz crack gloves on a bunch of hand, fist and offwidth cracks. They try them out through a range of different techniques.
The Crack Gloves that are built for crack climbing performance. Whatever grade you climb, the features and design of the glove will benefit your crack climbing, by protecting your hand and helping you to climb harder.
Rubber has been placed specifically on the glove to protect your skin, give friction in all jamming positions (from thin hand jams to hand stacks) yet shaped in such a way that it doesn’t compromise any movements that your hand makes when jamming. The rubber and material thicknesses provide protection for rougher coarser rock types, yet sensitivity for subtle technical jamming.
The finger loops have been designed for comfort & security, and the wrist strap is extended to give added protection against abrasion on deep jams.
There is a thumb loop which gives protection and jamming friction for the lower thumb joint on fist jamming, teacup jams and stacking techniques.
The wrap around the side of the hand ensures protection when fist jamming.
The palm and fingers of the glove are left free to ensure you have normal hand to rock friction on face holds.
