At the conclusion of the Inzai Lead World Cup last weekend, the final combined rankings of each athlete were determined. The released rankings can be found on ifsc-climbing.org.
The rules state that the top 20 ranked athletes of each gender are invited to the Olympic Qualifying event in Toulouse. No more than two athletes per country are able to qualify. By crossing off already invited athletes from the list and athletes that would exceed the maximum quota, then you are left with the bottom 40 athletes.
Per Gym Climber’s understanding, four Americans will be invited to Toulouse: Kyra Condie, Ashima Shiraishi, Nathaniel Coleman and Sean Bailey.
The top six athletes of each gender (excluding athletes that would exceed the maximum quota) at the Toulouse Olympic Qualifying competition will receive invitations to the Tokyo 2020 games.
