A chalk bag’s a chalk bag’s a chalk bag. 9/10 times you can’t go wrong. That being said, every bag is slightly different, and it’s worth checking out the options before making a purchase, because a chalk bag will last you a long time. Might as well make sure you like what you get
The North Face Chalk Bag Pro weighs in at 4 ounces. The exterior fabric is sturdy enough that it can stand on its own, but also flexible enough to not be overly stiff and blocky. The opening is slightly irregular, tilting downwards away from the body (when strapped on). This makes it easier to reach into, but can cause it to be more prone to spillage if left standing up on its own on a crash pad somewhere. The bag comes with a small zipper pocket in the back which could hold a small tape roll, clippers or some balm, in addition to a little sleeve on the side for a brush. The cinch drawstring is easy to use, given the wide clasp and textured grip. The Chalk Bag Pro is priced at $25, so pretty standard.
When all’s said and done, it’s a chalk bag. If you need one, this one is a perfectly good one to buy.
