Aidan Roberts, from the Lake District in the North of England, trains his back two fingers… on a 8 millimeter edge. Impressive!
Roberts found climbing at age 13. He went on to compete locally and internationally, eventually winning the European Youth Championships. After injuring his foot while bouldering in Fontainebleau, he was forced to take some time off. He’s since come back, clearly, and with a newfound interest in balancing competition and outdoor climbing. Roberts has put down several V15s, including Railway in Rock Mountain National Park, Colorado and Outliers at Trowbarrow Quarry, U.K. Last year, he first ascended Superpower, in Cumbria, England, which he proposed could be V15/16.
