3-year-old Ella makes her way up the fridge to retrieve a treat: a sugar cookie shaped like a bunny.
We think this little tyke might just have a future in climbing.
“We have taught Ella how to climb safely since before she could walk because it was something she want to do… climb everything!” wrote Caroline, Ella’s mom. Although Ella’s parents didn’t teach her to climb furniture, they did secure large pieces (including the fridge) to the floor just to be safe. They’re glad they did, and they’ve since built Ella a proper wall to train on.
Prior to this fridge ascent, Caroline had placed the cookie in the cupboard for Ella to have after dinner. “She all but inhaled her dinner and ran to the kitchen. I was right behind her and up she went. I couldn’t believe how easily she did it, and I knew her firefighter daddy would get a laugh out of it. So I put the cookie back up there, and Ella said, ‘Oh, mommy.’ She shook her head and did it again, and that time I recorded it.”
We’re looking forward to seeing Ella on the open circuit in about 13 years.
Happy Friday!
