The Olympics Are Over… But There’s Tons More Comp Action To Come!

Climbing’s big Olympic debut came and went. But there’s eight more World Cups, plus the World Championships, on the schedule.

Feels a bit like the day after Christmas, doesn’t it? The Olympics came and went, climbing had its big moment, and now what? The excitement evaporates slowly while we all wait to see what settles in its place: more people taking up the sport, more gyms, more crags, more contracts, more social posts, more coverage?? Time will tell if and how much “more” becomes a reality for our sport.

But in the interim, the action continues as usual! In fact, there are eight more IFSC World Cups on the calendar, plus the World Championships. The athletes get three more weeks to bask in the afterglow, and then it’s back to the mats.

Gym Climber will be posting results, highlights and analysis of each event. Check back and follow us on social media.
