The women’s qualification rounds in Toulouse concluded early this morning to partially reveal the next set of Olympic athletes. Six athletes will receive Olympic invitations and eight athletes move to the final round beginning November 31. Two of those eight are from Japan and cannot receive invites because Japan has already filled its quota. Two of the six remaining athletes are from Slovenia (Lucka Rakovec and Mia Krampl), and because one Slovenian athlete (Janja Garnbret) has already qualified, only one of those two Slovenian athletes may qualify to fill the quota. The remaining four finalists, along with the next highest non-finalist, are all guaranteed an Olympic invitation. Those five athletes are are:

Laura Rogora (ITA)

Julia Chanourdie (FRA)

Luliia Kaplina (RUS)

Kyra Condie (USA)

YiLing Song (CHN)

The final round on November 31 will determine whether Rakovec or Krampl will go to the 2020 Olympics.

Stay tuned for more upates!
