Max hangs involve weighted hangs, usually for 7-10 seconds, followed by a 3-minute rest prior to another set. Intermittent hangs, on the hand, involve hanging for 7-10 seconds, resting for 3-5 seconds, and then repeating four to six times. A minute rest occurs between each set.
