Marcin Dzienski is no stranger to the IFSC speed route— he’s won four Speed World Cups and the 2016 Speed World Championships. For a euro TV station, Dzienski put down a 23 meter (75 feet) speed wall in just 12.12 seconds, granting him a slim victory over the adjacent hotel elevator. At that rate, it would take Dzienski just under eight minutes to climb El Cap. Dzienski (26) was born in Tarnów, Poland and has been climbing since he was 11. When he’s not racing elevators or winning World Cups, Dzienski spends his time doing box jumps, usually at least to chest height.
